Biographical statement

Dr Kenny is a comparative political economist. His research on populism, corruption, and institutions has been published in journals including The Journal of Politics and the British Journal of Political Science. He has written two books, Populism and Patronage: Why Populists Win Elections in India, Asia, and Beyond (Oxford University Press, 2017) and Populism in Southeast Asia (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming). He teaches courses in comparative politics at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

ANU Fellow wins prestigious political science prize

Dr Paul D Kenny, Fellow in the Department of Political and Social Change at ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, was announced the winner of the prestigious Robert A Dahl Award.
