A group of independent human rights experts appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council, including the Coral Bell School's Professor Bina D’Costa, has issued a stark warning about the scale of the alleged grave crimes.
“These crimes were committed against a backdrop of supremacist beliefs, racism, corruption, extreme misogyny, and the commodification and dehumanisation of women and girls from different parts of the world,” the experts said.
