BA Political Science (UP Manila), MA Political Science (CEU Budapest)

I study politics in Southeast Asian contexts with a focus on democracy, populism, and the youth. Prior to coming to ANU, I was assistant professor and chair of the political science program at the University of the Philippines in Manila from 2015 to 2018.
My doctoral project at ANU is on oppositional politics in populist times in Thailand and the Philippines. I hold a BA & MA degrees in political science from the University of the Philippines and the Central European University, respectively.
