Dennyza Gabiella is a PhD candidate in the Department of International Relations at the Australian National University. She commenced her study in July 2019. Within the global refugee crisis, Dennyza’s PhD research focuses on the comparison of Rohingya refugees and diaspora activism in transit and receiving countries.
Her main research interests include irregular migration and forced displacement, refugee and diaspora studies, responsibility to protect (R2P) and humanitarian intervention, human rights and norms in International Relations. Prior to joining the ANU, Dennyza worked as Faculty Member at the Department of International Relations, Bina Nusantara University, Indonesia.
Dennyza completed her MA in International Relations at the University of Nottingham (2014) and her Bachelor degree in International Relations at Pelita Harapan University (2012).
