An uneasy ceasefire has come into effect in Syria
A new humanitarian ceasefire has come into effect in Syria. The aim of the deal is to allow food and medicine into shattered cities such as Aleppo where civilians have borne the brunt of the fighting. Whilst US Secretary of State John Kerry says this ceasefire could be Syria’s last chance for peace, officials in the Obama administration are unsure if it will last.
Dr Vanessa Newby joined Patricia Karvelas on Radio National to discuss whether this signals a new chapter in the Syrian conflict.
