APCD inaugural international intern to Belize
The Asia-Pacific College of Diplomacy (APCD) is now offering accredited international internships as part of the Master of Diplomacy degree. This will allow students to apply their knowledge of diplomacy to real-world settings and network with key figures in the field.
Our inaugural international intern, Mr Michael Byrne, will spend one-month at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belize.
Michael is a part-time Masters of Diplomacy student at ANU and a practising lawyer in Canberra. His interests lie in international law, the promotion of human rights, and East Asian politics. Michael is complementing his diplomacy studies with Chinese (Mandarin) classes.
Prior to commencing our Master of Diplomacy program, Michael completed a Bachelors in Journalism and Laws (Honours), and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the ANU College of Law. In future he hopes to play a role in Australian foreign policy.
We wish Michael all the best for his internship and look forward to publishing updates on his Belize experience!
