Appel à contributions : Série PIPSA sur le thème “Démocratie, Souveraineté et Auto-Détermination dans le Pacifique

Le Département des Affaires Pacifiques (DPA) de l’Université Nationale d’Australie (ANU) a le plaisir de lancer un appel à contributions pour son dossier Spécial “PIPSA” à paraître en Juillet 2020.
Le projet concerne les chercheurs ayant pris part à la conférence de la Société des Sciences Politiques du Pacifique (PIPSA) de Juin 2019 à Nouméa avec l’Université de la Nouvelle Calédonie. Il prendra la forme d’une collection de format courts en collaboration avec l’équipe de l’ANU (1300 mots, plus d’informations ici). Ce projet est l’occasion de revenir sur le thème “Démocratie, Souveraineté et Auto-détermination dans le Pacifique” à la lumière des évènements politiques régionaux des six derniers mois.
Plus largement les publications portant sur d’autres thèmes en science politique – dont l’actualité, pourront être considérés.
La série PIPSA se veut une publication bilingue ; les papiers pourront être soumis en Anglais ou en Français, les travaux sélectionnés seront traduits.

Pour permettre aux chercheurs affectés par la crise du COVID-19 de continuer à communiquer leurs travaux et collaborer avec leurs collègues au sein de la région, le processus de sélection et de révision se fera entièrement en ligne – email et visio-conférence.

CALL FOR PUBLICATIONS: PIPSA SPECIAL SERIES ON DEMOCRACY, SOVEREIGNTY AND SELF-DETERMINATION IN THE PACIFIC
The ANU Department of Pacific Affairs is calling for expressions of interest to publish short In Briefs as part of a Pacific Islands Political Studies Association (PIPSA) special series.
This is an opportunity for participants from the 2019 PIPSA conference in Noumea to showcase their research in a short format (up to 1,300 words) in partnership with the Australian National University, and to reflect on the 2019 conference theme “Democracy, Sovereignty and Self-Determination in the Pacific” in light of the recent political events in the region.
Expressions of interests from PIPSA members regarding broader themes in political studies, including current affairs, will also be considered.
The PIPSA special series will be a bilingual series. Papers can be submitted in either French or English, and accepted papers will be translated and published in both French and English.

The selection, review and publication of our In Briefs is an entirely online process that enables researchers currently affected by the COVID-19 situation to keep engaging with their peers and promote their research in the Pacific region.
Do you have a longer paper you would like to submit for publication? Please consider our Discussion Paper series! We welcome contributions that are 8000-12,000 words in length (including endnotes and references) and which address topics of interest to a wide audience of academics, policy-makers and others interested in issues in the contemporary Pacific.
