Bopha is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political and Social Change at the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs. She is researching the political economy of Cambodia during and after COVID 19. She is interested in the political economy, state building, and organised crime and the potential for the international community to influence events within the country. She has worked for more than 15 years as a journalist in Phnom Penh and in New York.
