Justin Khouw is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political and Social Change at the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, The Australian National University. He commenced his candidature in July 2025 and is generously supported by an Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship. His research focuses on Indonesia’s intelligence apparatus.

Justin completed his Bachelor of International Security Studies at the ANU in 2024, graduating with 1st class Honours. He was the recipient of the 2024 Ann Bates Undergraduate Prize for Indonesian Studies and the 2024 ANU Indonesia Project Student Research Travel Grant. He was also named the 2025 Regional Winner and the 2023 Global Winner in the Politics and International Relations category of the Global Undergraduate Awards. Justin is an alumnus of the Australian National Internships Program, which he undertook at the Sea Power Centre – Australia in 2023.
