Ristian Atriandi SUPRIYANTO (‘Andi’) is a PhD scholar with the Strategic and Defence Studies Centre, Australian National University and lecturer with the Department of International Relations, Universitas Indonesia. He received a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a Bachelor of Social Science in International Relations from Universitas Indonesia. Andi comments and writes numerous works on defence issues in maritime security and strategy, international relations, and foreign policy with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. Among his publications is "Naval Modernisation in Southeast Asia: Problems and Prospects for Small and Medium Navies" with Geoffrey Till.
