In 2017 Tereza has been a visiting scholar at the East-West Center in Washington, DC, at Peking University in Beijing, and at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in New Delhi.
Prior to the commencement of her PhD, she worked for the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic in the Department of Higher Education.
Tereza holds a Bachelor in Political Science and International Relations and a Bachelor and Masters in Teaching from the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
She has also completed a Masters in International Relations while interning with the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations in Geneva during the Human Rights Council, and working as a Project Assistant in the Shelter Centre (NGO).
In 2011, Tereza was awarded an internship with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in the Department of Common Foreign Security Policy.
Research Interest
Tereza’s research focuses on order-building in the Indian Ocean. Specifically, she is focusing on comparing the US, Chinese and Indian policy approaches to this region, applying models of power politics, liberal institutionalism and identity to derive a greater understanding of how these three powers are functioning and interacting there and how indigenous IOR states are responding/adapting to their policy approaches and interactions.
